GREETINGS!

My name is Dustin James Bell, I'm an AV engineer specializing in AV Control Systems and AV Design. 

My AV career is rooted in the fundamentals through nine years of working experience as an Installer, Technician, Field Engineer, and System Performance Verification (Commissioning) Specialist. 

In my current role as AV Systems Manager at Convene, I am tasked with engineering the AV systems that drive our world-class live events, attending to all matters from technical consulting and product selections, to break-fix service coordination, to new venue openings' final Quality Assurance sign-offs. I am also charged with research and development of new AV-related products and services. My professional goal is 100% system uptime across the 38 Convene and etc.venues global properties, allowing events to proceed as planned without any delay or issue.

Certified? Certainly! Among them: AVIXA CTS, Crestron, Biamp, Lutron, Savant, QSC, Cisco, Shure, and more. I am always certifying, never content to rest on my laurels. 

I grew up in a small town next to Ithaca, NY, and matriculated at Cornell University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts. I enjoy jazz (Alto sax), cooking (Brazilian), and hobbyist learning (gas and electric engines).

RESIDENTIAL AV CONSULTING

As a consultant in residential AV design, my expertise is in developing and maintaining project plans and equipment specifications, working side-by-side with architects and designers through every project milestone to ensure timely and accurate delivery of AV systems. I am consistently charged with developing a professional, respectful, and friendly rapport with the clients themselves as the friendly face of the AV integrator.

Past projects include system integration of smart lighting and motorized shades; security cameras and network video recorders; alarm systems and motorized gates; 10 Gigabit networking and Wi-Fi 6E access points; and complex Video-over-IP distribution technologies - all in one cohesive, seamless, and invisible package.
